Product Description

Product Description

Copywriting is a skill that we all increasingly need in the business world - you don't have to be in the marketing department to be asked to write copy for your product or service. Robert Ashton writes from the broader business and SME angle to appeal to a wide audience. He avoids the use of marketing jargon and covers a broad spectrum of copywriting including letters, advertising, press releases, catalogues and websites.

About the Author

Robert Ashton is an entrepreneur. He has built and sold two businesses in ten years and recently established his third. He attributes much of his success to his ability to write persuasive copy, from sales letters to letters to the bank, client proposals to promotional copy, in particular press releases. He approaches business copywriting from a practical, 'reader focused' perspective, using grammar and form simply to reinforce the messages he wants to convey. He is a Trustee of Chamber Orchestra East, a business mentor with the Princes Trust, a Common Purpose graduate.

5.0 out of 5 stars Writing made simpler, 24 Mar 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Copywriting in a Week (Paperback)
At last a book on copy-writing which is not simply full of its own importance. A book that helps take the writing demons away and shows a route to copy writing in a commanding manner. This book can give you tips and hints and lead you to question how you write and where the emphasis should lie.
