What a great night that was and seeing this again brings back those memories. Great tunes played by some wonderful musicians in memory of a wonderful man. From Small World through to Pete Townsend and many more Small Faces Convention favourites. The hairs on the back of the neck go up time and time again, Paul Weller and Ronnie Wood performing together is just awesome. Charlie Hart and the Slim Chance boys are fabulous too!!!

This was one of those rare occasions when it was such a pleasure actually being there and all these years on it is wonderful to re live those happy times in this much delayed DVD of a classic concert. Ronnie Lane was one of the most respected artists on the rock music scene. His status amongst his fellow musicians is obvious just by looking at this who's who of rock music lining up in this concert. This is a bunch of musicians of some quality playing their respects to Ronnie by performing some of the classic Lane songs. Highlights include Pete Townsend, Paul Weller, Ronnie Wood, Lane's own band Slim Chance and many many more. Wonderful viewing.

3 hours and 30 minutes of artists covering Ronnie Lanes music. At The Royal Albert Hall, London on 8th April 2004 with Paul Weller, Ronnie Wood, Pete Townshend, Steve Ellis, Ocean Colour Scene amongst them artists assembled to perform to a sell-out venue and to pay tribute to a man who co-wrote many Mod anthems such as "Itchycoo Park, All Or Nothing, Here Comes The Nice, My Mind's Eye" to name just a few.

Pity they had to have it at all. Great to see and hear folks who appreciated Ronnie's work and a pity a few more of them didn't make the effort! Good to have nonetheless. Do yourselves a favour and buy "The Passing Show" and watch it with a tear in your eye like I always do.

I'm a big fan of Small Faces so this was a must - worth the price of admission for the Paul Weller & Pete Townsend sets alone
