Assembly is absurdly difficult, assembled product doesn't feel trustworthy
on 7 July 2015
Assembly is absurdly difficult. You have to put 4 bent pegs into 4 grooves, but it's non-trivial to determine whether they're in. Then you have to screw in 2 tiny screws, possibly to hold the two pieces in place, although the reason is unclear, as the entirely pictorial user documentation (no text!) fails to explain. I purchased both one of these and the 33% more expensive BESTEK tablet holder, and those extra monies the BESTEK one costs are *very* well spent, as it's an excellent holder, highly recommended, unlike this one, which I in the end decided not to use at all, i.e. wasted money!
I fundamentally don't trust the design to hold a many-hundreds-of-pounds worth tablet securely (again, unlike the BESTEK one). Drop it to the floor a few times, I can't tolerate that risk. I've purchased a few other types of mechanical devices from Lavolta, ones that worked fine, so they're not a bad company per se, but they screwed up badly with this one.
