I'm a big fan of Charles band and Full Moon pictures..i have most of them, i love bad low budget films..this one is such a disappointment really..such a great idea and with a re-make could do well..the thing i find with this film is that even tho it's low budget they should not have attempted to do this without more money for effects..in other words if you can't fund what your trying to do them don't do it or wait.
The whole budget must have gone on the first few shots of the alien planet because once he reaches Earth, the idea of him being small is filmed with him mainly sitting in his spaceship or just filmed with him on his own and then the other actors reactions to him, only one shot of him with another giant person thats looks very dodgy..one shot of him hanging onto a car is clearly an action man doll.
The acting isn't that good, it isn't funny just rather dull.
The only reason for 1 star is seeing Jackie earle Haley before his great turn in Watchmen and being Freddy Kruger.
Puppet Master films are much better.

Tim Thomerson stars as Brick Bardo, the "Dirty Harry" of the planet Arturos located 10,000 light years away. Arturos is one of those odd planets with a parallel development to that of Earth, down to the English language with slang. While chasing a bad guy (one that is just a flying head) the enter some undefined force field which causes them to crash land in the South Bronx at a time when chain smoker Kamala Lopez is trying to rid her neighborhood of drugs. Bardo is only 12 inches tall on this planet and instantly gets the nickname "Dollman" as he aids Kamala against a gang.

If you recall the special effects in "The Incredible Shrinking Man," they didn't get any better for this film. The movie was good on Arturos, but once they come to Earth, it spins its wheels. Not really worth a watch unless all you have are Asylum of Tempe videos.

F-bomb, no sex, no nudity.

Let's face it.This one is a cheapy.But a good one.It came from a time where
filmmaker Charles Band good cheapy's for the audience did.
The Actors are great and the story about a Dirty Harry-Cop in a size of a
Mattel-toy are really funny.

A bit like trancers and Dirty Harry .a good film even though I have read bad reviews I thought it was pretty good .the picture for blueray was not bad considering the age of the film.plus it was done on a budget.if you like trancers you will like this.
