Impossible to put up
on 12 November 2015
Hahahaha! I am about to loose my mind trying to install this thing. Ok it looks good in the shops, very stylish, but my god, you WILL have a nervous breakdown trying to install it. There is a laughable installation video online, where this women fits in in seconds with a smile on her face. I want to beat her around the head with this product and see if she is still smiling. Who designs these things? Are there evil house elves who make something pretty, but with a catch, it is impossible to put up? Are they sitting there now laughing at another sucker.
So a bit more detail, it probably doesn't help that my ceiling isn't perfect and that I have two lots of cables which need to be fitted in to each of the sockets. However, the main problem is that the "transformer" is in totally the wrong place. Having watched the video and flicked through the sparse instruction booklet, I think it would be easier to install not with your wires in the center, but off to the left or right by a few inches. This way the cute little plastic clips, which are took big for the item, will fit in a gab. Where as if you follow the instructions, there is simply not enough room for it all to squeeze in. I need a cup of tea!
