Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I did a head to head test (pun intended) of the floss action brush head against the traditional Oral-B head.

The difference between the two heads is that the floss action one is slightly larger, and has yellow rubbery cleaning elements as well as the usual bristle.

After each test I flossed to see how much the brushes had left behind.

Now, a single test of each head is pretty unscientific. A statistician would want dozens of tests before drawing a conclusion, but one is enough for me.

And the result? Floss action really works - it gets right in there and hauls out more plaque and almond fragments than the standard bristle head.

For me, that makes it worth the extra cost.

Five stars.

The Braun Oral-B EB25 Floss Action Replacement Rechargeable Toothbrush Heads are brilliant. They clean my teeth better than anything I have tried before. Electric toothbrushes clean your teeth better than a normal toothbrush anyway but these are even better. I recommend that anyone who needs replacement heads for their rechargeable toothbrush try some of these!!

It is difficult to give an opinion about the effectiveness of tooth brushes. But the fact is that you would have to brush by hand a very long time if you wanted to give your teeth the same working - over as the electric tooth brushes do. I've been using electric brushes for about three years now and my teeth are definitely in better shape.
These floss action brush heads feel different, they massage the gums better and they get between the teeth.
I give them a thumbs up, it is not just a gimmick, there is a marked difference to the ordinary brush heads.

These Braun Oral-B Floss Action replacement toothbrush heads differ from the standard 'Precision Clean' heads in that they are slightly larger, somewhat firmer, and have small yellow rubbery fins which ostensibly floss between your teeth as you brush. While I was relieved that the fins didn't get stuck between my teeth (I was scared they might, since my teeth are quite tightly packed and invariably shred floss), I think that the fact they didn't is almost certainly a sign that they weren't really going in between my teeth. Perhaps they would 'floss' better in someone whose teeth have bigger spaces. Having said that, they did make my teeth feel very clean, although with some discomfort on sensitive areas.

Definitely worth a try if your teeth are quite well-spaced, but if they're not then I would recommend you go with the Braun Oral-B EB18-4 3D White Replacement Rechargeable Toothbrush Heads 4-Pack instead, I find they clean just as well but without the discomfort.

These are perfect replacement brush heads and the floss action is really effective, but I do begrudge paying so much for a bit of plastic with some bristles attached! They cost nearly as much as a new toothbrush each time!

I got these brush heads to trial through the Amazon Vine project - they claim to have a flossing "action" so I was keen to see what that meant in reality - I always forget to floss and these heads seem like a good idea.

The flossing action is a good idea in principal but it does not go any way towards replacing flossing - I don't think any toothbrush head could claim that. There are small rubber blades that are designed to get in between the teeth better than brushes do - but I saw no evidence that this was happening.

I suffer from a mild case of sensitive teeth, and the floss action heads were far too aggressive for me. I would steer well clear if you also have sensitive teeth or receding gums. The action is very heavy and my teeth did not feel any better or cleaner for it.

All in all I would summarise that these heads are a bit of a gimmick, if you want a deep clean then get the dual action ones, and if you have sensitive teeth then the sensitive or precision brush heads are a better choice.

After many years using the standard Braun Oral-B EB20-8 Precision Clean Replacement Rechargeable Toothbrush Heads 8-Pack (Packaging May Vary) I thought I would give these floss action heads a go. I must admit I'm still a bit bemused as to how they can claim to be floss action because it is almost impossible for a toothbrush to replicate flossing. I'm assuming that they mean these toothbrush heads will clean more inbetween your teeth than the standard heads do. The floss action heads are certainly bigger and there are four rubber blades and some smaller clumps of bristles around the outside of the head. These rubber blades and extra bristles are bound to expand the area which is being cleaned, which can't be a bad thing. Whether this including effectively cleaning inbetween your teeth is open to question. When using these floss action heads, it certainly feels much more abrasive than when you use the standard heads. Probably not good if you have sensitive teeth, but hopefully means a better clean. However when flossing immediately after cleaning, there was still approximately the same amount of detritus between my teeth that there normally is.

The key question for most people is probably are these heads better than the Braun Oral-B EB20-8 Precision Clean Replacement Rechargeable Toothbrush Heads 8-Pack (Packaging May Vary), justifying the slightly higher price? It's very hard to quantify, but from my limited experience they are perhaps ever so slightly more effective. They're certainly not bad and do what they're supposed to.

These Braun Oral B Floss Action toothbrush heads are slightly larger than the normal Oral B brush heads and they include little yellow rubbery bits which are supposed to get between your teeth and work like flossing. To start with these little yellow bits make brushing quite uncomfortable because they're hard and I wouldn't recommend them for anyone with sensitive teeth or gums. I did carry on using them and now (after a month or so) it feels the same as any other toothbrush so I'm not sure the flossers are working anyway. I don't think I would switch to these from the ordinary brush heads.

I have a Braun Professional Care electric toothbrush which I love and would hate to be without, but these particular heads are horrible! They are very uncomfortable to use, and I didn't like them at all. They have plastic pieces in the as well as the bristles, presumably it is these that are supposed to provide the floss action. They may well do that, although I couldn't say I noticed any improvement on the clean, but they are very harsh and rough and I can't see that regular use would do your gums much good. I certainly won't be using them again.

The flossing paddles snapped off after a couple of uses, not very well made. Very little confidence about materials used. Would not recommend for daily use.
