Not so good
on 27 April 2013
Ordered this lens but was very unhappy with it, I know the more you pay the better image quality you get but this lens wasn't to great for me, quite soft after 200-250mm, which i did expect but didn't think it would be that bad, the real problem for me tho was the washed out pale colours almost a misty haze, which decided it for me so it had to go.
Build quality is ok tho, very solid, no creeks or flexing anywhere, its not to heavy or to long either.
I have had a few cheap Tamron lenses in the past and weren't to bad, they are good value for money, but if i was to recommend a less expensive Tamron lens to anyone it would be the Tamron 55-200mm £90.00, it is sharp ! with lovely colours. Obviously if you wanted to pay more then go for the Tamron 70-300mm VC, awesome lens, but £300.
Shame this cheapy 300mm did work out but, you have to pay for quality, but again highly recommend the £90 55-200mm cheapy.
