Should be renamed to "Beginners guide to HTML and CSS"
on 27 November 2012
I am a full time professional software developer mostly server development but I like to keep up to date and wanted to refresh my average HTML and CSS skills. Since reviews were overwhelmingly positive and the book covered HTML5 and CSS3 I thought it would suit me but I was wrong.
The book is very light on detail, listing pages and pages of tags mostly one per glossy page. I managed to read the whole book on a one hour train journey and you can find the same information on w3schools.
One final note, I showed it to my colleague who told me he liked the style so I guess its personal preference. I would suggest you are thinking of buying it to use the "Look Inside" function to see if it suits you.
If you know the basics of HTML and CSS buy a different book.
