This atlas is very thorough, including plans of the main ports and airports of the UK. Many of the larger towns and cities have more detailed maps. The main atlas provides a thorough and up to date route map for the UK.

no matter what road map you buy , there is always that irritating gap/join JUST where you want to look!!! This ring binder version is very good though, like the way it stays flat when open on the pages you want to refer to

Comprehensive and a very useful manual. The spiral binding is a particularly good feature as in conventional book form the binding invariably splits

I bought this for route planning more than anything else. It's a nice and concise atlas that's a got a nice quality feel to it. As a back-up to dodgy sat-nav's it's indispensable!

Always keep a road map in your car, you never know when might need one. I have always liked the Collins one it is very clear and easy to use, used them for years and update when last one gets scruffy.

Really like the Collins mapbook. I love the urban areas the larger scale is great and more detailed maming it really easy as you get close to major towns and cities. Only downside is I wish they wouldn't print the ringbound area, not too much of an issue just a minor irritation but on the whole easy to read, clrar maps and good information.

I bought this to have as a back up for my sat-nav, for journey planning and to replace an out of date atlas.

This is a very user friendly road atlas with some handy extra maps such as the city street maps and city approach maps. The A4 format is ideal as it is big enough to get a decent amount of detail without being too cumbersome to handle inside a car, yet small enough to be neatly stored inside a car or on a bookshelf without sacrificing important information.

The fact this book is spiral bound with a large diameter plastic spiral means it is easier to fold and will last a lot longer than atlases with a normal spine and makes it easier to handle inside a car.

The colour-coded sections make quick referencing quicker.

Haven't updated this for a few years but have found satnav has its limitations. Sometimes you can't beat a good "old fashioned " road atlas ad this one is excellent. Maps are very clear, easy to follow and on a large scale. Lots of extra info on motorways and plans of many UK towns and urban areas.
