5.0 out of 5 stars Great Cookbook, 4 Jun 2009
I have always liked Nick Nairns food. Though have found some of his other books a bit involved. This book is excellent, everything is clear and concise. A must for any cooks bookshelf.

Don't expect a good read like a Nigel Slaters or Nigel Lawson book, instead do expect to find out how to do recipes that you have always wanted to do but couldn't find.

4.0 out of 5 stars Walking guide, 4 Jun 2009
I had previously ordered a book that covered the Southern Upland Way & the St Cuthbert's Way, however the sections on the St Cuthbert's way were poor. This guide is excellent, it gives you a lot of detail that will help you plan the walk.

Not as good as the Trailblazer books but good enough for this walk. Would recommend if your planning to do the walk.

Andy Cave has been one of Britains leading mountaineers for quite a while. I have been waiting for a book to be released on his life (and achievements). This book does not disappoint. It's well written - being easy to read and containing enough facts to keep you interested all the way through. Would recommend.
