To the Grave (Jefferson Tayte Genealogical Mystery&hellip by Steve Robinson
I read this after his other book-In the Blood. I think I prefer the other but the 2 have broadly similar story lines even if they differ in detail. Like the other, I found myself getting irritated by the first third (just too verbose and detailed without adding much to the story), moderately intrigued in the second third and frustrated by the final third as the story weaved its way towards a rather improbable conclusion. In other words, the book was enjoyable in parts, but as another reviewer has commented, this and the other novel would have been more enjoyable and less stodgy if the author had crossed out about 50 pages of fluff.
Deadly Stillwater (McRyan Mystery Series Book 3) by Roger Stelljes
3.0 out of 5 stars pleasant read, 4 Feb 2014
Fast paced if somewhat predictable crime novel. Not the most sophisticated storyline. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable read on holiday.
Gray Resurrection (Tom Gray #2) by Alan McDermott
Intoxicating. Ok so you'll only want to read this if you've enjoyed Day1... and you're very likely to enjoy this...and move on to Day 3.
