It has been working continuously for a year sending an image every 5 minutes to a raspberry pi FTP server. Does what it should. I also managed to port forward it no problem. It has survived many power cuts due to lightning.
I ordered this on ebay but it somehow came as an FBA product from the Amazon fulfillment center where I work. It arrived on a nice sunny March morning which was a great day for testing as there was not a cloud in sight for the whole day.
That aside, my solar panels have a maximum power voltage of 17.9v. This inverter pulls them down to around 14.7v. The panels were giving me 17 amps maximum today. If the inverter was drawing 17 amps at 17.9v, I would be getting 304 watts. With it not operating the panels at their maximum power voltage I am only getting 249.9 watts as 17.9 x 14.7 = 249.9.
