When lit, it clearly looks like an incandescent filament bulb, even when looking close-up at it. The brightness appears to be equivalent to a 25w filament bulb as described.

Even when switched off, the bulb looks more like a traditional filament bulb than even the halogen-replacement incandescent candle bulbs. The filament is indeed yellow as shown the picture, but barely noticeable from a distance.

As for my 4 star rating, the light distribution is uneven around the bulb, which is quite noticeable when using the bulb on its own such as in a table lamp. This will probably not be noticeable in a multi-lamp fixture such as a chandelier.

One problem with owning a DSLR camera, various lenses and photo paper is keeping the moisture out of where they are stored. I've already header of the issues of mould ruining lenses and had enough with curling photo paper jamming in the printer, so initially started with using disposable moisture absorber tubs. The problem with them is that as they fill up with liquid when the crystals dissolve, I was concerned about accidentally spilling one, so bought this moisture absorber bag and a large plastic storage container to place everything I wanted to keep dry.

For those who don't know how a thermocouple thermometer works, it is well worth reading about this before purchasing this thermometer due to the factors that affect its accuracy. Unlike most thermometers where the temperature is measured by the probe, thermocouple thermometers are affected by the temperature of the unit itself and even the temperature of the connector due to the way a thermocouple works and how the unit calculates the tip temperature.
