I read a casual comment on cleaning Rotring pen nibs by ultrasonic vibration bath on an internet blog site, that was being used in a lab. So looked out for this product as I love using the pens. The price against replacing these pens was just not a question even inlcuding the postage!
It arrived and the company had thoughtfully included an adapter for the plug in the EU. So I tried with pen nibs that were fit only for the bin. They had been hanging around for months coated in soid dried permanent/indian ink to try and save these nibs, any, and before I tried the good nibs. What a result! What can you say about plastic bobbins? Well I have a Singer 9836C which is not computerised and is about 15 years old. (A wonderful workhorse). I have always bought bobbins in a shop for 'Singer' and never had a problem. They are 2cm width and 8mm high....BUT...... Although these are embossed with 'singer' on them, they do not work in my machine.(Hence the loss of a star for the lack of information from the seller).
The bobbins are a full centimetre high. It fitted my bobbin case no problem as the width is correct,but the bobbin was higher than other Singer bobbins by a full 2mm! I can assure this makes all the difference between the machine working and the machine not working… Read more
