This is the third book I have bought by these two authors. This for me personally this is their best book. I love all the great stories they have put in throughout the book. There is a terrific story about how Richard Branson was inspired to start his Virgin airlines. The format is the same as the other books they have written and while I initially thought I might tire of this format, I find the opposite. It's so easy to dip in and out of the book and find an interesting or inspiring story because of the way it is laid out. Introducing Management: A Practical Guide by Alison Price

I loved their first book and was keen to buy this one. I was again impressed by how well thought out the whole book was. Having managed small and large teams in different industries I know the difficulties in managing people and this book gives very practical advice on all aspects of management. There are far too many books out there that are very academic in their approach, they over complicate the basics in managing people. I have recommended this to several of my clients already. I only wish I had read this when I started my career. I would also recommend this book to people who are not managers as it can be a very useful guide on how to get your manager to get the best out of you.

It is full of great examples of how to overcome the things that hold us back when we are attempting to change something in our life. I particularly liked the example of the person who went to bed dressed in his running gear ( no shoes ) so he would be ready to get out of bed and go running when he woke up. I also liked the fact that the authors related personal examples of their own… Read more
