I am doing A'level chemistry in a year with no access to a teacher outside lessons. This book is fantastic, and even better the teacher is using some of the examples so I can be completely confident of what it tells me. I have been using a library version, but I'm now buying it as a family resource in years to come.
I am writing this for my 9 year-old daughter. She absolutely loves this book and is on her third time of reading. I am expected to buy her the sequel, "No Means No" for her birthday this month. She says that it explains very clearly what becomes of people who start bullying others. She especially likes the descriptions and the dialogue is authentic for her age-group. A thoroughly excellent little book.
This book is fantastic. It's written for a Canadian/American audience, but don't let it put you off!
I would agree wholeheartedly with the last reviewer. If you want to really be able to make a difference to other people's lives, this must be essential reading.
Whether I can do it all myself is another question, and probably a lifetime's work.
