I'm a lecturer, so need to use a laser pointer on a daily basis. Something compact and simple that I could carry around unobtrusively in a shirt pocket was what I was after - This fits the bill perfectly.

Much easier to use that some of the other presentation devices I've used in the past that frankly had too many functions that only got in the way - No tendency to keep 'hitting the wrong button' in the middle of presentations.

I bought these to record lectures and podcasts. I wanted something robust and portable, as I travel a lot, but also good quality for professional podcast recording.

I love the style of the mic and its solid construction and neat folding legs. It's ideal for me to shove in a bag and not worry about damage. However, I'm disappointed with the sound quality, which is not as deep or rich as some of the online review videos might suggest.

Other reviewers have complained about the author's comments of social status, ethnicity and cleanliness - I have to say I did not find this a problem at all, as it reflects the times in which it was written and this adds considerably to understanding the social mores, culture and environment prevalent during that period.

The writing is not the highest quality and it is a bit quirky in delivery, but it is interesting to hear the viewpoint of someone who was present at major moments in forensics history, who wasn't one of the main protagonists.
