Is it just me or has modern television gone down the toilet? Because I can see no modern programme possessing an ounce of the entertainment quality like programs like The New Avengers did. I'll give all the reasons for my believing this notion to the full:

Back in the 60s, 70s, and 80s the shows were made with panache. There was brilliant acting abounding, and the brilliantly diverting New Avengers is no exception. Its so brilliant and charming and humorous but also boasts moments of totally raw seriousness and depth of character.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Word In Song, 12 Feb 2014
Don Francisco has always been reliably remarkable in his bringing of the Lord's Word to song. And Genesis And Job happens to be one of his very finest achievements. There is such beautiful art peppered throughout this incredible offering. The delivery, as always,by Don vocally is superb and infectiously alerting. And the guitar work is profound and beautiful as always. There is raw power within this tower of an album. If you are ever down and need to be raised up by the Lord's own Word, then hear it from his blessed servant Don. You will not be left unmoved. The intensity of the words too keep your attention and make you know you have to take these in and think on them in your own walk with… Read more

I was always wondering how this lost tale from the earliest days of Doctor Who would be brought to life. I had the script book and read it and thought what an amazing story. Rather a bit like the story of the Cybermen done early, but in reverse. Here in this story we have the notion of an alien robot wanting to gain a soul, (one is reminded of Bicentennial Man but this story has none of Robin Williams loveable robot in the mix) and this theme is quite lavishly explored and delivered with class gusto by the mighty giant actors Carole and William. But I was just hoping that if and when it ever saw the light in a Big Finish production, they might sell the script short. And I needn't have… Read more
