Plone 3 Intranets by Víctor Fernandez de Alba
Plone 3 Intranets by Víctor Fernandez de Alba
I'd seen from an excerpt of this book that it contained information about Plone which I hadn't been able to find well-documented in any of the other books on Plone I own. So I bought a copy of this book (even though this book is for Plone 3, almost everything in it carries over to Plone 4).

When I got the book today and started to leaf through it, I realised just how lucid and thorough it is. I would hope that the authors can update it for Plone 4 (and 5 when it comes out). I can't think of a better introduction to Plone.

I'm never been very interested in dry tomes on history or archaelogy, but I found this a revelation. I lent the book to a friend who has spent decades… Read more

I studied philosophy at university, and Irvine stands out amongst professional philosophers as a man who manages to get his message across with elegant simplicity. This book is not only easy to understand; he manages to make stoicism extremely relevant to modern concerns. It's hard to imagine how someone who could not benefit from reading this book. No matter how awful life seems, stoicism has something to offer.

I find many things of value in buddhism, but balk at the religious worship associated with it. Stoicism has much to offer westerners drawn to buddhism. Friends who have read widely around stoicism after reading this book tell me that their appreciation for Irvine's… Read more
