The Politics of Washing: Real Life in Venice by Polly Coles

I found this an intriguing look at Venice beyond it's stones. Those who love this extraordinary city will surely have thought about those who actually live there and the difficulties of being a minority amongst hordes of tourists. There is humour, history, thoughtful pontificating and descriptions of family life which makes this a really interesting and provocative read.
When a Child is Born - A Chronicles of St. Mary's &hellip by Jodi Taylor
5.0 out of 5 stars too short!, 19 Dec 2013
This delightful story continues in the great St Mary's historical tradition created by Jodi Taylor. I just want to alert others to this series as a fun and interesting read. The historical facts are always fascinating. Read and enjoy!
