I didn't know much about Twilight, i was told of the film first and when in my bookstore saw it on the shelf. The striking cover was my intitial attraction, and i purchased it also wanting to read it before i saw the film like is usual for me.

I started reading and noticed first person storytelling by Bella, after quickly getting used to it i felt a real connection to the author. I always feel an authors personality resonates within their characters and i was impressed with her writing skills.

This book left me breathless, the lovestory between a vampire and a human has never been done before and this was becomming the best book i've ever read! It isn't the most… Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars New Experience, 25 Mar 2008
I haven't ever read about the Biafran war in Nigeria, obviously just knowing about it from common knowledge. This book captured my first experience. It is a recommended read. Really it was set from the "rich" side of view, showing the poorer people through the eyes of the wealthy. Obviously it wasn't as gruesome as if it was a first hand account in the poorest parts where Nigeria suffered most. I think thats what struck me most about this book, like in India, either your stinkingly rich or extremely poor. The war obviously brought the two polar opposites living together. Overall a great book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fully Immersed, 25 Mar 2008
I read this in one sitting, which no book has accomplished out of me for a long time. It completely gripped me with every word and i'm so glad i had it on my must read list. Only my boyfriend didn't, he was thoroughly neglected! This book doesn't need a long winding review, it holds itself up.
