It is so easy to go on to a talent show, gain popular appeal and have success. However, it is a lot harder to turn that success into a career. I heard these young ladies on last year's final of Britain's Got Talent and immediately loved their style of music. Yes, there have been others like them, Bond, Vannessa Mai, but Escala I believe are different. First off, it must be noted they are using electric intruments. This gives a totally different sound. Nevertheless it is rich full bodied and it wraps around your ears like a large duvet. As has been said, none of the tracks on this album are bad. Some are better and more enjoyable than others. I must admit, when I first heard it, all those years ago, it took a time for me to get into it. But now, some 30 years on, it is still as enticing as ever. Her unusual voice is the first thing you notice when listening to this album. The complexity of some of the songs is another thing. "For… Read more

All right, I am a bit late off the mark with this review and, I have to be honest I only got this coz Tesco were flogging it cheap but I am glad I did. I put this in the cd player, sat back, and then jumped up for joy at the sheer energy that came from the speakers from this album. I am not saying it is wall to wall sunshine, but, nearly all of the tracks were upbeat and uplifting. A Sadness Runs Through Him was for me the only track that I did not really like that much, but that may just be me. This is Brit guitar pop at its best. It is funny that I picked this up at the same time as picking up The Clash singles album which was also going cheap too. Does that say anything, maybe, but… Read more
