Flowers For Algernon (S.F. MASTERWORKS) by Daniel Keyes

Not really into Sci Fi but this felt more like reality, possibly because it was written so long ago and science is catching up. I felt it was more about social relationships and how we treat and judge others than anything else.

Hard work on the first read. Complex web of goings on for which you definately need to suspend your disbelief but surprisingly entertaining in a very dark way. Will have to read it again to get the full effect.

This was my forage into Sci Fi and I didn't really get it. The Islands, the war, the girls prepared to give up everything for some pretty uninteresting bloke didn't really seem feasible. Not for me.
