Nerf CS-18 N-Strike Rayven by Nerf
4.0 out of 5 stars The Rayven, 14 Aug 2013
The Nerf CS-18 N-strike Rayven is a fun semi-automatic 7 AA battery (3 battery's for the clip & 4 for the firing system)powered gun. It's comfortable & small. There is a neat little 2nd trigger which turns on the motorised automatic firing system. Whilst holding the 2nd trigger pull the main trigger & it will fire 1 at a time. If you turn on the clip and you use the neon darts it will make the darts glow in the dark for a cool special effect.
The Pirates! In an Adventure with Whaling by Gideon Defoe
5.0 out of 5 stars Belly laughs galore, 18 April 2012
I will be honest I only read this having seen the Pirates in an Adventure with Scientists film, and wondering whether it was suitable for my young son. It is not suitable for him, but only because the humour would (probably) be above his head. The humour is literate, clever and quite silly at times. Perfect book for commuting on the train or underground, provided you don't mind the strange looks you get as you giggle away happily to yourself.
The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach
The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach
This book reminds me of John Irving's early work to the extent that I thought John Irving may have decided to remove the pressure of writing under his own name ad adopted the pseudonym Chad Harbach.

The atmosphere of the Westish college setting is beautifully captured and the voices of the five main protagnists are individual and real. There is a magical quality to the story that makes it feel like a modern day fable, as found in The Hotel New Hampshire and The World According to Garp.

Try this book as it will capture your heart. I am very hopeful that Hollywood does NOT make a movie out of it.
