5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant read, 18 Sep 2013
I read the first half of this on the train from Waterloo to Devon this early autumn afternoon. A 3 hour trip which seemed to pass at an extremely fast pace.

It was so good that I cancelled plans for the evening, poured a decent glass of red, and cracked through the rest of the book.

It's incredibly well plotted, and immaculately executed.

It's funny, and it's very insightful about the diffidence of the English.

And I found it really rather exciting, too.

Definitely the best novel I have read since the latest McEwan. Good on you, Mr Coe. Got the film rights sorted yet? It would look wonderful on the screen..

This is worth every penny. Some laugh-out-loud moments, and loads of wry smiles.

We'd like to see more of Ms Chast on this side of the pond.

...and all in a good cause.

Worth checking out the video online. Nice cinematography, and a decent performance from Ms Leonhart.

An acting career beckons?
