4.0 out of 5 stars LOVED IT!!!, 27 Nov 2007
I am a big fan of chick-lit and heard alot of positive things about the book so decided to read it and I was very impressed.Without giving much away,I will say that the story was quite simple but very, very engrossing-a real page turner and for me that's what good chick-lit should be about. It had a few unexpected twists with made it very readable.I loved that all of the characters were very realistic,as was the dialogue and I loved the ending which perhaps predictably was a happy one,but nevertheless left you satisfied after you had finished reading it.I would definitely say that this is Jane Green's best book out of the few that i've read and would highly recommend it to all fans of good… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing!!, 2 Oct 2007
I have been a massive fan of the Temptations for a few years and have many of their recordings but I was recommended by other Tempts fans to buy this album and I'm sooo glad I did. It really is fantastic. Recorded in October 1966 in a small club in Detroit, the album perfectly showcases why the Tempts were in my opinion one of the greatest acts that Motown ever produced.

The Tempts were on top form with all five legendary group members present and accounted for. What's so great about this album is that you can really sense the magic of the Temptations as unlike many of today's musical acts, they actually SANG and DANCED live, not only that but they did it exceptionally well. All… Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed, 26 May 2007
I LOVE chick lit & was looking forward to reading this book which I borrowed from a friend, who for some reason recommended it.I was very disappointed. Everything about the book is extremely boring & I had to really force myself to finish it as I thought, in vain that it would at some point get better(I WAS WRONG!).

The thing I didn't like about the book most is the lead character, its hard to sympathise with someone who decides to follow her ex partner on his holiday,it just didn't make any sense to me, I mean, who actually does that in real life!!Plus the characters seemed half- baked & 2D & the flashbacks seemed unnecessary. I also thought the author rushed through the key… Read more
