This is an excellent introduction into the art of Visual Basic 2008 programming, from start to finish it comprehensively covers in enough detail to enable you to start cutting code.

If you're new to programming or just want to learn Visual Basic then I'd strongly recommend this book.

If you want to understand how a person who has aphasia feels then this is a good starting point.

I have a brother who recently had a stroke and now has aphasia, before I start helping him with this therapy I wanted to understand how he was feeling and what could possible be going through his mind. This book helped. I now have an appreciate of what he's going through and feel ready to help.
PHP 5 Recipes: A Problem - Solution Approach by Frank M. Kromann
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful
I’ve only just recently started playing with PHP and so I needed some examples/pointers in the right direction regarding “how to” do stuff. To date I’ve read a couple of books and trawled through the Internet looking for worked examples and then I stumbled across this book.
Not only does it explain in clear concise English, it also contains excellent examples of everyday scenarios. So I get to cut ‘n’ paste the code, tinker with it and start using it in a real world situation.
So if you’re like me and prefer to jump into a new language feet first then you can do no better than start with this book.
