Tilda Swinton was fantastic as the ice queen. But of course she is quite stunning in everything. Otherwise a pretty ordinary version of the classic story.

What a disappointment this supposedly scary film was. Despite starring two great actors in their prime, it does not stand comparison with other thrillers of its day. Boringly predictable throughout, with one cliche after another, there was no tension whatsoever. A computer could have written the plot. What a waste of time.
