A classic album from the black metal legends Immortal. It has all the dark atmosphere of a black metal album without the poor production and the 'tinny' sound that most black metal albums have making it a good album to start with if you are just getting into black metal. There are some melodic and thrashy elements and some cool riffs. I really love this album and would reccomend it to any bm or thrash fan.

In this album Cradle have re-recorded some tracks from 'The principle of evil made flesh' their debut album with some cleaner production, deeper growls, higher screams and heavy riffage. Also some fantastic new tracks like 'Scortched earth erotica' and a sweet cover of Sister of mercy's 'No time to Cry'. I really liked this album and it's a definate must buy for any fan.
However if your a fan of their earlier black metal style you may not like this album as this is when they were starting to move away from the Black Metal/Gothic sound and adapting a more mainstream gothic/death/thrash metal sound.

I love it!
Melodic death metal with exellent technical guitar work, great solos. A slightly heavier alternative to other bands in the genre like In Flames and Soilwork.
