This book is beautifully put together and provides a flavour (excuse the pun) for Scandinavian food. With the wealth of spice and comfort in the recipes I will enjoy working my way through the recipes during the forthcoming dark and cold months!

I've just finished the book and feel really quite cheated.

I didn't want an all singing and dancing ending with a whirlwind romance and a 'happy ever after'for Kurt but by god, this was depressing! The likely outcome for Wallander was made pretty clear throughout the story (the actual story itself is just fine) and I kept hoping that this would be a red herring...

The last paragraph of the book is quite simply one of the laziest ways to end a series of, what I consider, excellent story telling and characterisation.
