Bought on a whim as I'm going to Bhutan on holiday, now passed on to a travelling companion so only impressions from a quick read possible.
Much interesting information about the country, the sort one is unlikely to come across in Travel Guides. Published after the early death of the author who travelled and worked in Bhutan with his family. Certainly I would recommend the book to anyone wishing some background infromation about the people and customs of this fascinating kingdom, though understandably discrete about the ethnic Nepalese refugee situation.
