A Yorkshire Lass at the Court of Thatcher by Elizabeth Peacock
5.0 out of 5 stars A great read, 17 Feb 2014
Elizabeth Peacock's straightforward story of her life and times at Westminster. A fascinating tale which pulls no punches about what's what.

5.0 out of 5 stars Indispensible, 19 July 2011
The Start 20 Europe system is a considerable advance on earlier TomTom devices produced a few years ago. It's intuitive in use, and the information provided is clear - I found the lane guidance assistance particularly useful. During a fortnight long tour around France, it only let me down a couple of times when its maps did not recognise recently opened autoroutes and the system showed my car advancing across fields and tried to get me back on a road! Connecting to myTomTom, I found that I had the most up-to-date maps available, so TomTom may be a bit slow in updating their maps. Generally, however, I found the Start 20 indispensible - it represents very good value for money.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fascinating book, 1 May 2011
Highly readable and one of the best autobiographical works by any political figure. Ivan Lawrence's careers in the House of Commons and in the courts provide the material for a book which will fascinate and entertain.
