I really like the writing style ... it's easy to get into and very atmospheric. I too was a bit puzzled by the ending, but nonetheless enjoyed it.
The Girl Who Kissed a Lie: An Otherworld novella by Skylar Dorset
I don't like normally like any type of fantasy, but the blurb for this short novel engaged me enough to download it. It turned out to be a really engaging story, written in an easy style, that shows what a good writer Skylar Dorset is. The story laid lots of clues to the next in the series, and even includes a sample of that book at the end. I immediately liked the character of Selkie and her take on the world, a world described in both its 'normality' and strangeness. Lovely.
