I think their two best albums are Vile and The Bleeding. This album is in my opinion just more of the same and completely fails to add anything new to the genre. Standout track is Pit of Zombies which has some excellent drumming and guitar phrasing. The lyrics are as violent and bloody as ever but you can't help feeling that you heard it all before seven years ago. Death metal as a genre needs originality and innovation and if you're expecting these things then you will be sorely dissapointed. Generic! If you are looking for innovation check out Slayer's Reign in Blood which spawned the genre and is an album that this CD does not come close to matching. Nice artwork though.
