Gardens of the Sun (Gollancz) by Paul McAuley
4.0 out of 5 stars Another great story, 8 Nov 2013
Loved this book. Often the book 2 of a series can seem to be a shadow of the first book. But not this one. The usual intrigue and adventure continues and I just couldn't put the book down. Now I'm on to the next one (Evenings Empires) and just can't wait.

4.0 out of 5 stars More please!, 18 Oct 2013
I have read everything to date from Alastair Reynolds because his stories are sharp, characters well crafted, good well explained science (or science fiction that is plausible) and always a damn good story line with a nice twist at the end. This book was no let down on that front. Devoured every page of this one just like all the others. Now I will wait patiently for the next installment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another hit!, 29 Sep 2013
As usual Alastair Reynolds has conjured up a good story, as you would expect from his past achievements. Again whole worlds and technologies have been invented that work seamlessly into the story. Most importantly the characters are magnificent. If you are a fan, this book is a must. If your not, read this book. You will not be disappointed. I'm now on to the sequel!
