Angela Britnell does it again. Some how she manages to bring her down home Tennessee charm to everything she touches; this time she blends a “little bit country” with the mysticism of Cornwall.

Olivia, Tennessee’s latest import from the States, arrives in Cornwall to research its old legends and meet Lanyon – Cornwall’s own modern-day Mr. Darcy.

Lanyon’s heart is frozen from loneliness and past heart breaks, choosing to live the life of a reclusive hermit- until Olivia melts his heart and brings him back to life.

Olivia is smart and sassy and takes no gumpf from Lanyon and that playful tension turns into an exciting romance filled story.

Fine Cooking Cakes & Cupcakes: 100 Best Ever Recip&hellip by Taunton Press
4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Recipes, 29 Aug 2014
This is the perfect baker’s bible. Filled with exquisite recipes and ideas with a wide variety of treats to try.

I tried the Southern Devil’s food cake and the instructions were laid out very easily, step by step, and the results were divine.

This book eclipses all other books- if you could only have one baked goods book in your kitchen, this is it.

I do recommend buying this book in hard cover, because not only is a beautiful book, you will want to give it pride of place on your shelf.

***Please note: This is in American measurements, with cups and ounces. You will need to convert them to grams for the UK, if you feel more comfortable working… Read more
Curse Breaker: Guild Assassin by Berley Kerr
5.0 out of 5 stars Remarkable Steampunk, 29 Aug 2014
Curse Breaker: Guild Assassin is a unique novel with darkness at its heart and a refreshing version of a Steampunk world.

This books isn’t all dirigibles and petticoats – it is the in your face- ass-kicking, Steampunk that I have been craving.

Wendy is a strong female lead, who is flawed but utterly charming. She is a well-rounded, three-dimensional character, who is just remarkable.

Curse Breaker: Guild Assassin is a great start to a new series. If you always wanted to read Steampunk but didn’t know where to start, then this it. All others seem to pale in comparison. Eagerly awaiting the next instalment to this exciting series.
