Mutation was my holiday read and let me say, I found it hard to concentrate on sight-seeing when this book was waiting to be read! It is gripping and fast paced and I really felt for the main character, Amanda; it was almost as if I was in her shoes. Im a fan of Tess Gerritsen and Kathy Reichs and I would say that Suzanne Morrison's debut novel is no less enthralling. A deadly virus, a strong heroine, emotional turmoil and physical conflict...a must-read!
Somehow I got addicted to this series after being given a free copy of Marked on the street. The previous books were all quite repetitive but I persevered as it made quite light reading. I have just finished this book and my initial thought was "noooooo!" How could the book have ended and the next one not be published until JANUARY??! I agree with the other reviewers in so much that all the characters are much more developed in this book and I definitely cared more about them than I have in previous books! I love Aphrodite now and the chapter where Heath left Zoey nearly had me in tears! Bring on "Awakened"!
