A big disapointment, 21 Aug 2008

I was really looking forward to hearing this album. I have bought all of Jewels albums and her only slight notification in this country of the album "This Way" that got my attention. A lot of people critisized Jewel for 0304 but to me it was a near perfect pop record that only grew better as the album went on. Although her last album was heading towards a country market it had so many catchy numbers but i'm disapointed to say that this album has only about 2 songs i would recommend on it. This is full on country with plenty of the old twang in every song and to be honest it sounds rather dated. Something Shania would have done 15 years ago.

Age doesn't mean wisdom, 14 May 2008

I wasn't sure how to rate this album. I didn't know whether to rate it according to other Madonna albums or to rate it against other music out there generally.

There is always that problem with Madonna that if she does a brilliant album (Ray of Light, Confessions...) there is much hype for the following release. "Music" in my opinion was an ok album but was a disapointment to "Ray of Light" and this album "Hard Candy" has failed to be a substantial follow-up to "Confessions".

Good but not her best, 12 Dec 2007

As with most people I was waiting for this album to be released. The current single "2 hearts" grew in time and now I really do like it although it wasn't quite what I was expecting.

The album itself I have only given 3 stars although there are brilliant highs and then the lowest of lows. Reading through the booklet inside it seems to be that the tracks Kylie wrote - or had the most influence on are the best tracks on the album and are vintage Kylie.
