Most of the book is about his running back ground, which is a little bit boring.
When he is in the army and later on captured the story is great but not as detailed as his running.
To survive what he went through is amazing and a disappointment that this book didn't cover it more.

This book is a very slow burner. The build up to the story is not as action packed as other McNab books.
The story is ok but it doesn't connect with the first Tom Buckingham book. Leaving a lot of lose ends unexplained from the first book.
Was hoping for more SAS adventures/ missions and not spy stories, as they are already covered in the Nick Stone books.
It may take a couple of reads to get the full detailed story, but not an edge of the seat book
