I was looking forward to getting this book but I was pretty disappointed with it. It tells you about names that link into clans but you could probably find this info online with a good search. Its been sitting on my shelf gathering dust.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 25 Mar 2009
Wow! This book is just brilliant. Where do you start with this? Every page I turn I want to read and then I look at something further on and I want to read that and it goes on and on. I love this book. The pictures are brilliant, the descriptions are brilliant and the details about the men and women behind the scientific discoveries are brilliant. This book gives you insight into the planets, the formation of the universe, matter, radiation, gravity, star charts, constelation break down and info, space flight, planetary motion, telescopes from the beginning, galaxies, clusters, nebulae, and the list goes on and on. Actually, try to find something this book doesn't have!

Scottish Genealogy by Bruce Durie

I bought his book after meeting the author who was just as helpful as this book is. Bruce Durie goes through loads of different areas for the novice to the advanced genealogist in a simple easy to read format. The best thing is that the book has countless web addresses, NAS references, other publication references and clear diagrams backing up what is written in the text.
I would definitely recommend buying this book. It has really helped me in my research to understand what is beyond just the basic census and BMD records.
I would go so far as to say that it is the best Scottish Genealogy book I have come across.
