I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes
I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes
Gave up after a third. Gave it a good try but couldn't hack it. Starts well but descends to formulaic tat, al la Dan Brown. Hero is a combo Jack Reacher, Jason Bourne, Jack Bauer et al but without charisma, humour or personality. I tried, I really tried. Will make a great movie I'm sure.
Shaman's Crossing (The Soldier Son Trilogy, Book 1&hellip by Robin Hobb
Such a drag, no wonder it was going cheap. Loved the Assassin series, but this was just so slow and long winded. Sad to say I only made it to mid point.
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
5.0 out of 5 stars SUCH A SOULFUL READ, 28 Jan 2014
Such a beautiful, gentle read. So well written with solid real characters, especially Eddie, the Everyman of our times. His relationships are so real and solid, I felt privileged to have known him. Read and enjoy.
