Half-Wizard Thordric: Accidental Archaeologist by Kathryn Wells
I gave Kathryn Wells's first Thordric novel 5 stars but this second novel is even better! Shame I can't award 6 stars.

Thordric's a bit older and decides he wants to make a name for himself. He sets off to a remote part of the land to find some 'wandering' wizards. What follows is a really good adventure story, with some magic involved. Good characterisation, good pacing, making the reader want to find out what's going to happen next. Some really funny and interesting quirky ideas, too - I won't spoil. it. Read for yourself.

Book three soon, please!

Like my trainers, I had to stretch the shoes before I could wear them comfortably - they come up a bit small and tight in the toes. Once stretched, though, they're quite comfortable and I managed to wear them all day without foot pain or sore toes… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the wait!, 1 Jun 2014
Preston Reed is amazing. I have his other albums and have seen him play live. I never tire of listening to him, and this album doesn't disappoint. Some absolutely wonderfully haunting tunes that will keep you hooked from the first track to the last. Sounds even better when listening to it while also looking at his photographs (go to [...] ), particularly those of Girvan.

Thank you, Mr Reed - and hopefully we won't have to wait quite so long for the next one!
