Green Velvet Electric: A Compendium 1983-1997 ~ The Steppes
The Steppes were a neo-psychedelic group of the 80's founded in California by Irish brothers John and David Fallon. El Patio ~ Triana
El Patio ~ Triana
That's Triana, a Spanish progressive/flamenco/folk group. This is their first album from 1975 and the birth of a whole musical style dubbed Rock Andaluz (see also:Medina Azahara). They sing in their native language in the Andalucian/flamenco style (some Arabic influences apparent). Organ passages are also very good and reminiscent of other progressive/hard rock groups of the era. The leader's name is Jesús de la Rosa Luque (Vocals and keyboards) and the rest of the members are: J. J. Palacios "Tele" Drums and percussion, Eduardo Rodríguez Guitar, Manolo Rosa … Read more

A 2CD Greatest Hits for an artist with just 1 album and 2 years' worth recording career? Am I the only one who finds it ridiculous? I bought and loved her Born To Die album but what is the point of releasing it with bonus tracks as Born to Die-the Paradise (Repack) and then again as The Greatest Hits with other bonus tracks? It is disrespectful to the artist and her fans. As for the music, it is a combination of singer-songwriter and intelligent pop, highly recommendable...
