Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell
Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell
Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell is a 16 page hardback flip-up book for very early readers. It offers 8 different illustrated animals hiding behind various boxes and compartments for little fingers to probe. Dear Zoo is a fun way to engage small people in the joy of books, flipping through the different animals. It makes for easy interaction between parent and child, the animals inspiring a parent's impressions - even for the giraffe.

The wording is clear and simple, easy to read. Sentences are short and punchy so have impact.

The qualify of the flip-ups is prett good having taken a few year's worth of abuse, Not one has fallen apart. Some are more difficult to open than… Read more
Penguin Epics : Sagas and Myths of the Northmen by Jesse L Byock
2.0 out of 5 stars Disjointed Sagas, 2 Aug 2014
Sagas and Myths of the Northmen is the 16th book in the Penguin Epics collection. It is not one of the best. Sagas is drawn roughly from three stories - the Saga of the Volsung, the Saga of King Hrolf, and Sturri Sturlson's Prose Edda including the Ragnarok Cycle. It is right that the Penguin Epics collection includes sagas. These are after all some of the finest literary contributions the world has known. They tell the tales of various Nordic peoples whose beliefs thrived in a known world otherwise in the firm… Read more
Bigjigs Rail BJT135 Red Brick Tunnel by Bigjigs Rail
The BigJibs tunnel is a quality addition to a wooden railway set. It is one medium length straight covered by a tunnel big enough for a model railway train plus small person's hand to push through. The quality of the product is fine. It is sturdy and durable. The tunnel can survive being dropped or thrown into a store box without problems.

The look of the red tunnel is excellent. It is a vibrant red colour with a brick style pattern as well as tree motifs. The trees and the image of ivy creeping over part of the tunnel entrance gives it a slightly more organic look and is another interesting aspect for a small person to enjoy. The artwork is really good, among the best of… Read more
