This title is an absolutely sensational summary of the greatest drum and bass tracks of the last decade and a half. The double CD compilation is understandably focused on LTJ Bukem, not only because he is the producer of the album but also because he has dominated the scene for so long and created an unrivalled number of classic tunes himself. If you like ambient, melodic and most importantly listenable drum and bass, then this is the CD for you. It combines fantastic classics such as Bukem's 'Music' and 'Horizons' with great work from Peshay, Seba & Lotek and great vocals from MC Conrad on Disc One. These two CD's represent an all-round brilliant introduction for the newcomer to drum and… Read more

Having bought this album on the strength of Metro Area's previosuly released single Miura, I have been blow away by the sheer technical excellence and unique depth of this musical work. There are very few albums on my shelf about which I can confidently state that every track is a gem - and this is one of them already. Darshan and Morgan's musical skills on display in this album excite me just as much as Daft Punk's 'Discovery' and Groove Armada's 'Northern Star'. I'd even go as far as to say this work is as good as any of Massive Attack's quintessential albums I have in my collection!
In terms of music, this CD is a must-have for any fan of non-commercial dance, whether up-tempo or… Read more
Jump Leads ~ Fila Brazillia
Jump Leads ~ Fila Brazillia

This album cements Fila Brazillia's position at the head of a downtempo movement that includes such well known acts as Tosca, K & D, Royksopp and others. The lads from Hull have produced a scintillating album; you would not want to remove any track or add to it to improve it. The tracks add together to produce a funky, melodic and yet chilled out blend of downtempo beats that appeals to anyone, regardless of musical background. If you are into any form of dance music, buy this CD now - you will not fail to love it. But even if this is not your usual genre, the album makes a superb introduction to this style of music, and will sound great over and over again.
