The Third Side (Battle for the Solar System, #2) by Stephen Sweeney

I really enjoyed the first book, particularly as I generally don't read science fiction/fantasy type books. The second book starts off where the first one finished and was just as good if not better. I like the way the characters have developed with their backgrounds explained a bit more which in turn answered questions from the first book. Stephen Sweeney has certainly opened up a new genre of reading for me and I will now try a few more of the cheap science fiction/fantasy books that are on offer for the Kindle. Hope the third book is not long off being published.

The characters and setting are not what I would normally think of as a 'good read' but Kevin Ashman has again written a brilliant book in what I would describe as an unusual background. As a result of 'Roman', I purchased this book and was not let down. The Kindle has opened doors for a lot of authors and Kevin Ashman is without a shadow of a doubt, a superb storyteller

This is the first book I bought for the Kindle and it was well worth the price. As others have mentioned it mixes genuine historical characters with fictional ones. There are 2 stories that run separately and then meet up near to the end resulting in a brilliant ending. I've just purchased another Kevin Ashman book (Savage Eden)as a result of Roman and can't wait to read it.
