Why Plans Fail describes why plans, estimates and projections fall to pieces in the real world. If you want insight into your own decision making process or want to understand why others are making bizarre choices, this book will supply the answers.
I think this is a great set of tools for the keen amateur (me), but it isn't long before the next version rolls along with an upgrade price that is greater than what you paid for the first version you bought. A painful tool to own.
This is such a good book. The characters are brilliant in ways that have never really translated to film (although the two films in the 1970s probably come closest to capturing their essence). High quality camaraderie and plot.
