I was shocked and disappointed that there is no appreciation of the common fate met by toddlers who have learned early to avoid their parents/caregivers as they mature; they are more likely than other children to be bullies during their childhood, less likely to be able to ask for help at school, more likely to have difficulties in personal relationships and thus more likely to be isolated and suffer depression in adulthood.
