When French Women Cook: A Gastronomic Memoir by Madeleine Kamman
5.0 out of 5 stars A great read, 31 Mar 2014
Amazing memoir of food and time. Kamman brings the French cook and her cooking to life. The book is evocative of time and place from the 30s onwards. It is as good for the text as it is for the recipes.

Started with the Brown Veal Stock prepared as per her instructions - wonderful

I have been a fan of the The British Larder blog for a long time. The cookery book lives up to expectations; great recipes, but not for the beginner.
