Live in Central Park, 1968 in front of 135,000 people at the age of 25 - remarkable. What is so electrifying is that the concert sounds like a nightclub act - which is a positive thing considering the intimacy and warmth in Streisand's voice. Also worth noting are the songs that don't appear as studio versions on other Streisand albums. This is the ultimate live recording - very recommended.

Lazy Afternoon is one of Streisand's greatest albums and the title song itself is one of my many favourites. "Lazy Afternoon" is so gentle and peaceful that I can easily listen to it on a cool summer's day. Other stand out tracks include the touching "My Father's Song," the discotheque "Shake Me, Wake Me," the jazzy "Moanin' Low" and the climatic "Widescreen" which is fantastic. The album is worth listening to because Streisand doesn't so much as show-off in a dramatic and dynamic way, she takes it easy and flows magnificently with the music, with which the great Rupert Holmes collaborated with her on this album.
